Stormwater improvements coming to Drew Park neighborhood

News Image

The City of Tampa is working on making stormwater and pedestrian improvements along Lois and Grady avenues in the Drew Park neighborhood. In January, workers will start a project to alleviate flooding in Drew Park. They will build a pumping station and expand a stormwater pond north of Hillsborough Avenue and adjacent to the Henry Canal. The $6.5 million project is expected to be completed by December 2009. Funding comes from the city, the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the state's Department of Environmental Protection. http://centraltampa2.tbo.com/content/2008/oct/01/st-help-coming-for-lois-grady/
